Setting up Video Remix Studio
Five minutes, start to finish. Version 1.0 · Windows 10 and 11.
Before you start
You need a Windows 10 or 11 computer, about 1 GB of free space, and an internet connection for the download and the first run. Nothing gets installed on your system — it is a single program file you can keep in any folder.
Download the file
Open the download link. It opens on Google Drive. Press the Download button at the top right.
Google will probably say it can’t scan the file for viruses. That is normal and it is not a warning about this file. Google only virus-scans files under 100 MB, and this one is bigger, so it says the same thing for every large file anybody uploads. Press Download anyway.
Unzip it
Find the downloaded .zip file, right-click it and choose Extract All, then Extract. You get a folder with the program inside.
Keep the folder somewhere you will find it again — Documents or your Desktop is fine. Do not run it from inside the zip.
Open the program
Go into the folder and double-click Video Remix Studio.exe. The first start takes 20–40 seconds because the program unpacks itself. That only happens the first time.
Windows may show a blue box saying “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, then Run anyway. Windows shows this for any new program it has not seen on many computers yet. If your antivirus asks, allow it.
Send your Device ID
A window opens showing a Device ID that looks like PC-4KTM-9QXA. Press Copy Device ID, then Open WhatsApp — or just send the code to +923361883880 yourself.
This code comes from your computer's motherboard. Your key is built for it, which is why the key only works on this machine.
Paste your key
Your license key comes back on WhatsApp. Copy the whole thing, paste it into the box, and press Activate.
The key is long and may arrive split over several lines. That is fine — copy all of it, line breaks and all.
That is it. The program opens and you can start working. This computer stays activated — you will not be asked for the key again. Just double-click the same file whenever you want to use it.
If something goes wrong
Almost everything below is normal and takes one extra click.
Google says it can’t scan the file for viruses
Press Download anyway. Google does not scan files over 100 MB, so it shows this for every large download, whoever uploaded it. It is not a warning about this file.
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”
Click More info, then Run anyway. Windows SmartScreen shows this for any program it has not yet seen on a large number of computers. A brand-new program always starts out unknown to it.
My antivirus blocked it or deleted it
Allow it, or add the folder to your antivirus exclusions, then download again. Programs packed this way sometimes get flagged by mistake. The tool runs entirely on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere.
The key is not being accepted
Two things to check. First, that you copied the whole key — it is long and easy to cut short. Second, that the key was made for the Device ID this computer is showing. If the Device ID on your screen is different from the one you sent, send the new one and you will get a matching key.
Can I use it on my other computer as well?
Each computer needs its own key, because the key is tied to the hardware. Send the Device ID from the second computer and ask about an additional licence — extra machines are cheaper.
I lost my key
Send the same Device ID on WhatsApp and the same key comes back, free of charge. Nothing to re-buy.
The first run is slow
The first start unpacks the program into a temporary folder, which takes 20–40 seconds. That happens only the first time; after that it opens quickly.
Will it still work if I reinstall Windows?
Yes. The Device ID comes from your motherboard, so it does not change when Windows is reinstalled. Your key keeps working.
